Minneapolis marriott airport

My recent stay at MSP marriott airport was great. You might not realize but sometimes a good conversation can lead to free upgrades. Well, every time I stay at this property I am always up on the concierge floor. Some property you have to ask when you check-in for upgrade but not always. Well, my simple conversation with the front-desk person did some magic during my last stay. I noticed that every time I walk into the front doors, the lady knows my last name and always welcomes me with my last name. By the time I reach the desk, my room keys are ready and ready for my credit card swipe. She is always smiling and this time I made sure she knew what a great service she provides. I complemented her and her staff on what a great service you guys provide. Well, a simple compliment gave me a reward of room upgrade from concierge floor to suite.

Currently this hotel is going thru some upgrade so beware of that if you are planning on staying here. The bedding, flooring and electronics are still old fashion so it is not the new look that Marriott is pushing to every Marriott hotel and resort just yet(fitness center, restaurant and front desk has the new look.)

Pizza Luce in Downtown Minneapolis

This place is amazing. I would say after going to this place, I have put this on my top list for people who want to eat pizza. The atmosphere is casual. Soon as I entered the door, I was greeted promptly with menu choice. Usually the greeter asks smoking or non-smoking but instead I was asked “vegan” or “regular”. I was not sure what to say as I am vegetarian but I asked to see both menus. Pizza Luce has many locations but I was told the one in downtown is the one I should go first. Well, it was only couple blocks away from the place I was staying Marriott Hotel and resort at City Center. The walk is quick 10 minute walk. Anyhow, after looking at the menu I decided to get “The Lil's Gracie” pizza. I was first skeptical on if I should even try this as it has fake pepperoni and fake sausage. I asked the staff what the toppings are made out off and I was told soy protein and seasoning. Yes, it is also considered vegan and they also have vegan cheese for vegans. Well, I was not satisfied by the toppings so I had to add roasted garlic and fresh jalapeƱos. The pizza came after 15 minutes from when I order so the service was very prompt and fast. Soon as the pizza came to my table, I could just smell the flavors. I have been to so many trendy pizza places but I got to say, the smell was amazing. Well, after taking the first bite, I was just shocked by the taste. I think the flavor was amazing because of roasted garlic and jalapeƱos. The soy sausage was amazing, especially the seasoning they mixed in it. I would not rate this 5/5 but 4/5 as the service was good but not great. The waiter stopped by once after I place the order. Plus, I was out of water and the waiter did not come until I finished eating the food.

So, I rate this 4/5 stars.
